Biography

I’ve been working in production for the last 10 years. I’ve produced big ad campaigns for big brands, music videos for brilliant artists and livestreams featuring some serious talent. I’ve produced at home in the UK and abroad, and in the early days I worked as a runner on some TV shows you’ve definitely seen, as well as a few that you probably haven’t.

These days, I’m a full-time producer. I’ve solved some complex problems, put out countless small fires and developed a fairly healthy respect for a well-made call sheet. I work across the full production process, from brief-in and creative development all the way through to delivery. I’m comfortable getting stuck into the detail and keeping all the moving parts moving. I like taking something complicated and making it feel relatively straightforward - relatively being the important word.
 

But my favourite thing about the job is the people. Producing is such a collaborative effort, and you get to work alongside some incredibly talented directors, DoPs, photographers, creatives and crews. Everyone is there to make something good, and getting to play a part in that is what keeps me coming back.
 

I’ve been lucky enough to work with some pretty cool brands, including adidas, Autotrader and Playstation. It’s particularly nice working with brands you’re actually a fan of. I wear adidas, regularly browse Autotrader and have spent a frankly irresponsible amount of time playing on my PS5.
 

Outside of work, I’m from Buxton in the Peak District (yes, like the water) and I’m an ardent Buxton FC supporter. I’m now based in Manchester. I love cats, hardcore music and LEGO. I play guitar and I snowboard whenever I get the chance. I first realised I wanted to work behind a camera after watching Interstellar. If I ever get to work on something directed by Christopher Nolan, I’ll consider the career arc complete.
